I began
drawing, very suddenly, at the age of four, passionately, fervently,
obsessively. I'm a "learn from the doing" type - my only formal 'art
training' was two years at the Newcastle School of Art & Design, after
leaving high school at 15. At 19 I was resident cartoonist for the Newcastle
Herald.
Essentially I've been self-employed since 1988, freelancing commercially
while developing my own niches in design and teaching.
